Previewed in Washington D.C. at the National Geographic Society, it premiered in Hawaii on Waikiki beach, under a full moon to an audience of 5,000 viewers, setting the precedent for what became the City of Honoulu’s, “Sunset on the Beach” public movie screenings held monthly on Kuhio Beach.
